I don't hold much hope for either franchise in the future because of Bethesda's clear determination to monetize the games and make them service-oriented, but I can't help but give them a shot. I'd still load and play Skyrim today on PC because I felt more like I was role-playing the Dragonborn instead of shoe-horned Joe Veteran from Fallout 4. I played Skyrim for 350 hours on PC and still went back to the vanilla experience on Switch. New Vegas was a step in the right direction for the franchise and 4 demolished any chance I'd be interested in 76 (not to mention the issues that game launched with.) The dialogue choices from New Vegas to 4 were dire. Modding weapons was done better IMO in New Vegas.
All the gameplay mechanics feel undeveloped, especially bases.
I played it for 115 hours and I've tried going back with mods and alternate starts and the DLC and I just CANNOT get back into it.
