He's the mayor / sheriff of the town, and he'll make sure that you know it. You'll meet Lucas Simms when you first enter Megaton. Note: If you get your karma high enough, then once a day a random Megaton resident will come up to you and give you a present (usually a chem or some food). Wasteland Survival Guide and Confessor Cromwell (#5), who is the head of the Children of Atom (#5). Inside Megaton you'll meet several colorful people, including Lucas Simms (#1), the mayor / sheriff of the town Mortiarty (#9), who might help you in the questįollowing in His Footsteps Moira Brown (#6), who will give you the quest Caravan merchants continuously patrol the major towns in the wasteland, so you can see them in a variety of places. You can also encounter one of four caravan merchants outside of the town.
You'll be greeted outside by a robot named Deputy Weld, plus perhaps a transient named Micky (you'll gain karma if you give him Megaton is the first real town that you'll come into contact with.
